They are excellent tools to help you cut down support
tickets as customers are known to ask the most number of
questions when they first start out. You can use this to let
your customers know that you have an affiliate program that
they can join, or let them know your official support hours.
If they do not wish to see these tips then they simply
choose to have them disabled.

Adding your startup tips to your control panel is as easy
as 1, 2, and 3. Simply add the tip, drag them to the order
you wish, and click save. Your users will then start seeing
the Tips you have set. |

So you wanted to upsell your customers? CpanelAPP allows
you to do in in 3 different ways.
With
Custom URL, you can specify a webpage to send a user
to. YOu can set it to integrate with your site by setting
the Variable field to a special URL just for that feature.
e.g. If you set it to http://www.yourdomain.com/upgrade.php?feature=backup
for Backup manager, a user will be redirected to that page.
You have to create your own upgrade.php to handle the
request.
Internal Form is a
smart feature of CpanelAPP to process an upgrade request
within the Cpanel skin itself. There is no setup required.
When a user request for an upgrade, you will receive a
message in the CpanelAPP's internal messenger. It will
contain the username, feature and comment.
Custom message allows you to create your own message
to be displayed right within the Cpanel skin when a user
access the feature. e.g. If you do not plan to allow
password change temporarily, you can set Password Change to
Custom Message. Set the Variable to something like: "We do
not allow password change temporarily, please contact our
administrator with regard to this".

This plugin will enable you to restrict resellers from using
the cpanel skin in 2 ways:
Exclusive plugin will allow only exclusive resellers and
their clients on the exclusive list to use the
skin, regular limit will allow every resellers and their
clients to use the skin unless the reseller is on the
disallowed list. Possible applications may include
charging a certain amount monthly for usage of Cpanel XP.
You can even end up with a healthy monthly profit just by
offering Cpanel XP! Another application is restricting
resellers who don't pay up on time instead of disabling
their account altogether. You can also allow access only to
those on higher reseller plans to encourage resellers to
upgrade their account |
